Kanu Banerjee
Kanu Banerjee (1905 – 1985) was an actor of Bengali Cinema. He is best known for his portrayal of Harihar Ray, father of Apu, in Satyajit Ray's Pather Panchali (1955) and Aparajito (1956). He was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.
Kanu Banerjee was known be a favourite actor of Rabindranath Tagore, who was believed to be very fond of Banerjee's different nuances of sad emotions and pains.
